Tauromaquia

Tauromaquia is a series of paintings born from the direct experience of Spanish bullfights. Inspired by the intense atmosphere of the corridas, the series captures not only the dramatic moments of the confrontation between bull and torero, but also the subtle pauses, the tension in the air, and the dialogue between movement and stillness.

With bold, often contrasting color fields and dynamic lines, the series translates the rhythm of the arena onto the canvas. Light and shadow, dust and fabric, pride and danger merge into a visual language in which tradition and personal feeling merge. Each work is less a literal depiction than an emotional condensation—a visual echo of the heartbeat pulsing in the arena.
